Somnath and Dwarka are ancient religious sites and tourist destinations in Gujarat, while Ahmedabad is the largest city and a major economic hub in the same state. Somnath is home to the first of the twelve Jyotirlinga Shrines, dedicated to Lord Shiva, and Dwarka is an ancient city associated with Lord Krishna. Ahmedabad
The largest city in Gujarat, Ahmedabad is a vibrant economic hub and a UNESCO World Heritage City, known for its rich history, distinct architecture, and bustling markets.
Key attractions:
Sabarmati Ashram- Located on the banks of the Sabarmati River, this was once the residence of Mahatma Gandhi and served as the center for India's freedom struggle.
Old City and Heritage Walk-Explore the historic walled city with its packed bazaars, numerous mosques, and the unique urban fabric of densely-packed traditional houses called pols.
Sidi Saiyyed Mosque- Famous for its exquisitely carved stone lattice work, known as the Sidi Saiyyed Jali.
Adalaj Stepwell- An intricate five-story stepwell built in 1498, located near Ahmedabad.
Sabarmati Riverfront- A revitalized waterfront area with promenades and parks along the river.
Somnath
A seaside pilgrimage town in the Saurashtra region of Gujarat, Somnath is home to one of the 12 sacred Jyotirlinga shrines of Lord Shiva.
Key attractions:
Somnath Temple -The magnificent, rebuilt temple on the coast is the main pilgrimage site. It is believed to be the first of the twelve Jyotirlinga shrines and has been destroyed and reconstructed multiple times throughout history.
Bhalka Tirth -This is the spot where Lord Krishna is believed to have been mistakenly shot by a hunter before renouncing his earthly form.
Triveni Sangam - The holy confluence of the Kapila, Hiran, and mythical Saraswati rivers near the temple.
Light and Sound Show- : An hour-long show near the temple illustrates its history.
Somnath Beach- A tranquil place for a walk along the Arabian Sea.
Dwarka
One of the four sacred Char Dham pilgrimage sites, Dwarka is an ancient city with immense religious significance for Hindus. It was the legendary kingdom of Lord Krishna.
Key attractions:
Dwarkadhish Temple- The main five-story temple, also known as Jagat Mandir, is dedicated to Lord Krishna and is believed to have been built by his great-grandson, Vajranabh.
Bet Dwarka- An island located a short boat ride away, believed to be Lord Krishna's original residence.
Nageshwar Jyotirlinga- A temple housing one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, located just outside Dwarka.
Rukmini Devi Temple- Dedicated to Krishna's chief consort, Rukmini, this temple is located a few kilometers outside the main city.
Gomti Ghat-Here, pilgrims take a holy dip in the Gomti River before visiting the Dwarkadhish Temple.
Day Wise Itinerary:
Day 01: Ahmedabad - Arrival + Sightseeing Tour
Morning Arrival at Ahmedabad Airport / Station. On Arrival our driver will Pick-up you later transfer to Hotel. later Half day Sightseeing Tour of Ahmedabad visiting Sabarmati Ashram, Adalaj Step well, Akshardham Temple, River front and Atal Bridge. Overnight Stay at Hotel in Ahmedabad.
Day 02: Ahmedabad - Jamnagar - Dwarka (440 Kms / 9-10 Hrs)
After Breakfast drive to Dwarka en-route visiting Bala Hanuman Temple and Lakhota Lake later continues drive to Dwarka. On Arrival Check-in at Hotel. Evening visiting Dwarkadhish Temple and Explore Local Market of Dwarka. Overnight Stay at Hotel in Dwarka
Day 03: Dwarka + Bait Dwarka Sightseeing Tour
Early Morning Attend Darshan Aarti at Dwarkadhish Temple later Back to Hotel for Breakfast later full day Sightseeing Tour of Dwarka visiting Bait Dwarka by Ferry Boat (Cost not included), Gopi Lake, Rukshmani Temple, Nageshwar Jyotirlinga. Day 04: Dwarka -Porbandar -Somnath (250 Kms / 5 Hrs)
After Breakfast drive to Somnath en-route Porbandar visiting Sudama Temple, Kirti Mandir - Mahatma Gandhi Birth Place later continue drive to Somnath. On Arrival Check-in at Hotel. Evening Sightseeing Tour of Somnath visiting Bhalka Teerth, Triveni Sangam and Pandav Caves and Golden Beach. Evening Visiting Somnath Temple and Light Sound Show at Somnath Temple. Overnight Stay at Hotel in Somnath.
Day 05: Somnath - Ahmedabad (440 Kms / 8-9 Hrs)
