TOUR ITINERARY: 

Day 01: Ahmedabad Arrival - Modhera Sun Temple – Ahmedabad

On Arrival transfer to Hotel and get refresh and proceeds to Modhera Sun

Temple, Modhera Sun Temple dates bake to early 11th century CE and was built by King Bhimdev I in 1026 CE. The temple at Modhera is the most important of all sun temples buil in the whole Gujarat. The temple is dedicated to the Sun God. The temple is magnificent and the finest example of the Hindus architecture in Gujarat. One of the most striking features of the Modhera Sun Temple that the first ray of the sun falls on the deity at the time of the equinoxes. In front of the temple is a colossal tank, which was once known as Surya Kund or Rama Kund. The tank has a series of the carved steps leading to the bottom. Continue drive back to Ahmedabad. Explore Sabarmati River front at Evening if time permits. O/n stay at Ahmedabad.


Day 02: Ahmedabad - Statue of Unity- Ahmedabad

Early morning breakfast  and drive to statue of unity : The Statue of Unity is a colossal statue of Indian statesman and independence activist Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (1875–1950) who was the first deputy prime minister of India and the chief adherent of Mahatma Gandhi during the non-violent Indian Independence movement; highly respected for his leadership in uniting the 562 princely states of India to form the single large Union of India without any bloodshed. It is located in the state of Gujarat, India. It is the world's tallest statue with a height of 182 meters (597 ft). It is located on a river island facing the Sardar Sarovar Dam on the river Narmada in Kevadiya colony, 100 kilometres (62 mi) southeast of the city of Vadodara. Evening come back to Ahmedabad and night stay.


Day 03: Ahmedabad – Somnath (406 Kms / 07 Hrs)

After Breakfast Drive to Somnath. On arrival Check-in at Hotel.

Somnath: One of the most revered & an important center of culture & nationalism. The legendary temple contains a ‘jyotirlinga’. Looted & destroyed, built & rebuilt several times, it represents the eternal beauty & strength of the Indian society. The present splendid structure was rebuilt about five decades ago, at the exact spot where the original shrine was located. The iron man of India Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was instrumental in the construction of the present temple.

 

Day 04: Somnath - Porbandar – Dwarka (210 Kms /04-05 Hrs)

Today morning after having the pleasure to attend the morning aarti at Somnath temple, drive to Dwarka.

On the way Porbandar, visit Kirti temple, Sudama known as house & born place of Mahatma Gandhi. In back side house of Kasturba wife of Gandhi. Also visit of Gandhi museum, study room of Mahatma Gandhi in the Kirti temple. Later visit of Sudama temple & continue proceed to to Dwarka, visit Lords Dwarkadhish Temple. Attend evening Aarti Darshan at Dwarkadhish. O/n stay at Dwarka.  


Day 05: Dwarka - Rajkot Drop (225 Kms /04 Hrs)

Attend early morning Aarti at Dwarkadhish temple, have breakfast & thereafter visit Bet Dwarka, Nageshwar Jyotirling & Rukmani Temple. Bet Dwarka – Also known as Bet Shankhoddar, Bet Dwarka is only 5 kms from Okha Junction in sea and Okha is 30 kms from Dwarka. It is said to be the place where Lord Krishna lived with his family when the ruled at Dwarka. It is also the place where Vishnu slew the demon Shankhasura. Visitors make it a point to visit the Krishna temple at this site which holds much of interest to be seen and experienced.  Nageswar Mahadev – The Puranas mention 12 Jyotirlingas or columns of light representing Lord Shiva, who manifested himself in that form in different parts of India. This Shiva shrine near Dwarka is one of these and is there- fore accorded great respect. Rukmani Temple – Temple of Lord Krihsna’s wife. Afterwards proceed to Rajkot airport for onward journeys.
